Colleges by state
Each state page lists the colleges from that state that have a page on AdmitFacts, with their admit rate for fall 2023, tuition for 2025-26 and graduation rate.
On states with several colleges here, a short summary above the table names the most selective college, the biggest change in admit rate since fall 2013, the lowest out-of-state tuition, the lowest net price for families earning $0 to $30,000 and the largest applicant pool.
Where a summary quotes a state median, that median covers every operating college in the state whose main award is the bachelor's degree, not only the colleges listed here.
The number next to each state below counts its colleges on AdmitFacts, so states with few entries simply have fewer of the colleges people search for most.
All figures come from the IPEDS surveys and the College Scorecard, with the year shown next to each figure.
States with colleges on AdmitFacts
The number after each state is how many of its colleges have a page here. State medians on each state page cover every operating bachelor's-degree college in the College Scorecard file.
